iMusicDistro

Music Distribution
on Steriods!

iMusicDistro blends “i” (individual/independent) + “Music + Distribution”.

It represents a platform built for independent African artists who are tired of being gatekept, underpaid, and unheard. The brand name suggests simplicity, accessibility, and a sense of empowerment — “your music, your path.

About | iMusicDistro

Before iMusicDistro launched, the founder kept seeing the same problem:

talented artists were recording songs in Port Harcourt, Lagos, and Accra… but had no clue how to get their music on platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, or Audiomack.

Most distribution companies were either overpriced, unresponsive, or straight-up confusing.
The founder wanted a distribution brand that speaks the language of the everyday artiste — simple, modern, transparent.

They approached Humans HQ with a clear mission:
“Create a brand identity that feels global but represents the modern African artiste.”

Our Role

We were to build:
— A brand identity that feels tech-forward
— A logo that communicates sound, distribution, and movement
— Colors and typography making it feel modern, trusted, and youthful

Our Process

We studied:
— The psychology of music-tech brands
— Competitors like DistroKid, TuneCore, and Amuse
— Local African music culture, lifestyle, and slang

Direction chosen: clean, rhythmic, motion-driven identity
Highlights:
— A circular, wave-inspired logo symbolizing limitless reach
— Deep electric blue paired with a warm accent color
— Typography that feels digital, young, and bold
— A brand voice that says: “We see you. Let’s launch you.”

trusted, and youthful
